In the Lab
Narayanappa’s research focuses on extracellular vesicles (EVs), regenerative medicine, cell therapy, and translational biomedical research. Her work investigates mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)-derived EVs as therapeutic products, with an emphasis on understanding how manufacturing conditions influence EV composition, function, and potency. Current research includes EV characterization, proteomic profiling, and development of neutrophil-based functional potency assays to support product development, quality assessment, and regulatory translation. Narayanappa’s long-term goal is to advance cell and EV-based therapies from laboratory discovery to clinical application through rigorous scientific evaluation and translational research.
