Earlier this year Yaochao Zheng was awarded a UGA Communication Scholarship and Grant. This funding has allowed him to recruit undergraduates from both RB and non-RB backgrounds to develop a podcast series introducing foundational topics in regenerative bioscience (RB) to a broader audience.
The first podcast series, now available on mainstream platforms like Spotify (Link to Eposide 1), introduces the applications of Nobel Prize-winning technologies in regenerative research. The series is designed for a wide range of listeners, including patients’ families, teenagers, and students, with the goal of bridging the gap between academic research and public understanding.
The series will be updated on the 1st and 15th of each month on Spotify, with other platforms currently in progress! According to Yaochao, the audience is growing, and excited to engage even more people, in hopes of expanding outreach and community service.
Yaochao said, “This project is a team effort, and I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Yao’s mentorship and the support of my undergraduate assistant, Vaishnavi Tadepalli.”
