The RBC recently attended the 2026 annual Cell Manufacturing Technologies (CMaT) Summit at Georgia Tech, where UGA’s NSF ERC-funded graduate students and postdoctoral fellows made a strong showing. Our trainees rose to the occasion, competing alongside researchers from across the CMaT network and bringing home several awards. Their success is a wonderful reflection of the talent, creativity, and collaborative spirit of the RBC community.
From Left to Right Erika Bowen Shamaun and Dr. Morgane Golan received the Curriculum Enhancement Award, Dr Golan also received the first-place poster presentation, Md Marzan Sarkar won first place Perfect Pitch and will represent CMaT in Washington DC at the National competition, and he was also awarded the Outstanding research award, finally Amin Davarzani won the people choice poster award. Congratulation to our winners and to all CMaT trainees!
